School of Disc Golf Remote Coaching Process
Each School of Disc Golf Remote Coaching Block includes two components:
-
- 2 recorded analysis videos, specifically the side-view and from-behind perspectives of one throw type, like your backhand drive or your putt
-
- 60 minutes of live coaching via video teleconferencing
-
How it Works:
After you purchase a Remote Coaching Block, the email confirmation will include a link to an online setup form and another link to this page. A second email, this one from your coach, will include a link to your shared Google Drive folder. This is where you will upload your video clips, then download the analysis clips after they’ve been created by your coach. Note: This second email is not auto-generated, so it won’t show up immediately. Please allow a little time.
-
Step 1 - Complete the online form.
This is your opportunity to let us know what you want to work on, and why. Your instructor will use your answers to create a customized plan just for you. If you complted the form before coming to this page, go to Step 2.
-
Step 2 - Capture your video clips, then upload them to the shared folder.
We need one from the side angle, and one from a directly behind angle so your coach can see the trajectory of the disc. Your video clips should be no longer than 5 seconds each, and in MP4 format if possible. Do NOT capture your clips in slow motion.
To upload your clips, go to your shared Google Drive folder and click the big Plus sign, then select File Upload. Please notify your coach via email when you’re done. When your analysis clips are ready, usually within 3 days, we’ll let you know.

Step 3 - Schedule your live online coaching session.
When your coach lets you know your analysis clips are ready they will also send you a code to use to book your 60-minute live remote coaching session on our booking page. You have up to a year from purchase date to book this session, so the timing is up to you. Some clients want to discuss and work together on the analysis right away, and others want some time to implement the changes on their own.

Preparing for the Live Session
The following are a list of things to consider for the best possible live online disc golf lesson:
- Wear some type of wireless earbuds so you can hear your instructor easily when standing away from the phone.
- Make sure you phone battery is fully charged
- If possible, use a tripod with a phone mount, or bring a helper to hold the phone
- Unless agreed upon otherwise with your coach, be somewhere you can throw discs safely
- Bring discs, and a towel if the ground is wet
-
Step 4 - Log into the live session.
After booking your live session you’ll receive an email with links to join the meeting and add the meeting to your calendar. Use these links to join the meeting when the time comes.
